Are you an NDIS participant looking to build workplace skills and confidence in a small, supportive group?
At Baked by Us, we believe everyone deserves the chance to be a part of a team. We're not a typical day program. We're a small, close-knit community where young people of similar ages and interests learn real workplace skills, grow in confidence, and build long-lasting connections.
To learn more, browse the FAQs below or reach out to our team who are happy to answer any questions you may have.
How you can join:
Download an Expression of Interest form here and email it to hello@bakedbyus.com.au.
If you need help completing it, reach out using the form below and we'll be happy to assist.
Once we receive your form, our team will be in touch to check funding availability. From there, we'll arrange a meeting with Eliza, our Service Manager, to talk through your goals and make sure we're the right fit. If all goes well, we'll invite you for a trial before anything is formalised.
We're genuinely grateful for every person who wants to be part of Baked by Us.
Program FAQs
-
Baked by Us is designed for NDIS participants aged 18–30 who are looking to build workplace skills and confidence in a supportive, small-group setting, particularly those who find traditional employment pathways challenging.
-
Participants develop practical workplace skills through baking and café operations including food preparation, customer interaction, teamwork, time management, and workplace routines, all with the support of 1-on-1 guidance from our team. Alongside these, we focus on building confidence, communication, and independence at a pace that works for each person.
For participants that have specific goals or interests, we can accomodate these where applicable, and build steps to help participants achieve their personal goals.
-
By our team of experienced support workers in a small group setting. Support is hands-on and tailored to each person's goals, and where needed, routines and tasks can be adapted to ensure everyone can participate equally.
-
The program is funded through Capacity Building Supports, under line item 09_006_0106_6_3 – Life Transition Planning, including mentoring, peer support, and individual skill development.
Baked by Us is a self-managed provider and charges in line with the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits guide.
-
While this isn't a paid role, our program is designed for building real skills and confidence, or for those where traditional employment isn't the goal, simply a place to be part of a team and stay connected.
Either way, the focus is on helping each person take their next step, in their own time and in their own way.
